This is a wonderful rendition of the Blessed Trinity, by Italian Rococo painter, Corrado Giaquinto.
In the image, God the Father and God the Son are seated on a cloud in the sky. God the Son is on the left side. He was white skin, light brown hair, and a beard. He wears a white cloak, which covers His waist and legs and flows behind His back. The Son extends both of His hands on either side. God the Father has gray hair and a white beard. He wears a light green robe and a light purple cloak. The Father holds a gold scepter in His left hand. He extends His right hand slightly to to His right side. Both the Father and Son look down at the saints.
In the sky above the Father and the Son, the Holy Ghost, depicted as a dove, hovers in the air over the Sacred Heart. The heart is very large. It is pale red. There is a wound in its right side. A crown of thorns surrounds the Sacred Heart and there is a cross on top of the heart.
Angels, seated in clouds, surround the Blessed Trinity in the sky.
In the lower half of the painting, Our Lady and the saints are gathered on clouds in the sky. There are saints from all walks of life: kings, bishops, nuns, and other men and women.
