Gathering Winter Fuel is a restored Christmas illustration by Arthur Gaskin from his illustrated edition of the carol Good King Wenceslas. A poor man stoops in the deep snow under the moon, gathering winter fuel, the moment that moves Saint Wenceslaus to go out to him with food, wine and pine logs.
Bold black line work in the English Arts and Crafts style, well suited to Christmas cards, programs and bulletins.
