Angelico painted this Last Judgment scene. In the depiction, Jesus Christ sits enthroned upon clouds, surrounded by golden light. An angel holding a cross stands below Christ. Rows of saints, enthroned upon clouds, are gathered round the Savior in the sky. On earth, angels and demons separate the just from the wicked. The devils take souls to the fire and other torments in Hell while the angels lead souls up a hill to join the other saints in Heaven.
